How to connect Luna with any app via Zapier
How to connect Luna with any app via Zapier
Updated over a week ago

At Luna, we strive to make your sales work as painless as possible. We understand that you might use certain apps or require certain workflows that Luna doesn't have a native integration for. After all, there are thousands of apps that you can use in your daily work.

Therefore, we launched an official Zapier integration 🀩 Zapier allows you to integrate Luna with over 5,000 apps with just a few clicks!

Prerequisites

In order to start integrating Luna with your apps, you'll need a Zapier account. Getting started is free, and you won't have to enter any credit card details to get started.

If you don't have an account yet, make sure to create one by clicking on the button below; I'll see you back here afterwards πŸ‘‹πŸ½

Creating a workflow

A 'workflow' is Zapier's word for 'integration'. Once you arrive on the Home Screen, you'll see that you can search for apps to create workflows with straight away, like this:

In the 'connect this app...' text field, enter and choose Luna. In the text field on the right, choose any app that you'd like to integrate with Luna! In this example, we'll create a new row in Google Sheets for every new lead that we contact with Luna. So we'll go with Google Sheets, but you can choose any other app that you'd like :)

Once you configured the workflow that you'd like to set up, go ahead and click on the 'Try it' button! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Once you've done that, you should see a screen like this:

Now, we need to configure both sides of the integration. Go ahead and click on Luna.

Authentication

If you do this for the first time, you'll need to connect your Luna account with Zapier. We do this with an API key, which is a password that Luna generates for you to tell Zapier that we know who you are.

Start by clicking on 'connect new account', like you can see in the screenshot below πŸ‘‡πŸ½

Then, you'll see a screen that looks like this:

In order to grab your API key, you'll need to go to your Luna settings. You can go directly to the right page by clicking on the button below. Generate and grab your API key there πŸ‘‡πŸ½

Enter the API key in Zapier and click on 'Yes, Continue'.

Testing the trigger

Now, we'll need to go ahead and test our trigger. Triggers are things that 'trigger' the integration, like the name already suggests. The Luna Zapier integration has 4 kinds of triggers:

1) A new lead that is contacted

2) A new email that is sent

4) A new reply from a lead

In this example, we chose for option 1, but you can follow the same instructions if you chose another trigger in the beginning.

Once you click on 'test trigger', Zapier checks (in the case of this example) for some leads that you contacted in the past. If you've never contacted a lead via Luna, you'll see that Zapier doesn't find any, and then you can simply skip this step without a problem.

In our case, we found a lead! πŸ₯³

Configure the action

Once you're done with configuring the Luna trigger, you can go ahead and configure the app that you'd like to integrate with Luna. This usually takes only a couple of clicks, and your connection (called a 'Zap' in Zapier) is live! 🀩
